Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Control team members
  • Serve as site-level quality authority for product release and in-process decisions
  • Oversee QC testing for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
  • Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (COA)
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA regulations (21 CFR 111 & 117), and SOPs
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, CAPAs, and OOS investigations
  • Partner with QA and Operations to resolve production and quality issues
  • Support internal and external audits (FDA, NSF, SQF, customer audits)
  • Monitor QC metrics (defects, OOS rate, turnaround time) and report to leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Oversee environmental monitoring, calibration, and QC equipment maintenance
  • Maintain and update QC SOPs and specifications
  • Participate in mock recalls and material review processes

Qualifications (Needed)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of Quality Control experience in regulated manufacturing (dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical)
  • Strong expertise in cGMP and FDA regulations (21 CFR 111 & 117)
  • Proven leadership experience managing QC teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CAPA, OOS investigations, and deviation management
  • Strong background in regulatory audits (FDA, NSF, SQF, customer audits)
  • Experience with ERP systems and electronic quality systems preferred
  • Proven ability to make critical quality decisions in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
