Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Must have 7+ years of progressively responsible experience (5+ years with a Master's Degree) within a large acute care hospital or healthcare system.
Must have direct experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Improvement (QI), and/or Data-Driven Performance Improvement initiatives.
Must have healthcare industry experience within a hospital or healthcare system environment.
Must possess one of the following certifications:
• Project Management Certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Robust Process Improvement (RPI) Certification
Must have demonstrated experience leading quality improvement projects and driving measurable operational and clinical performance outcomes.
Must have strong analytical skills with experience interpreting healthcare quality metrics, performance indicators, and operational data.
Must have experience collaborating with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to implement quality and process improvement initiatives.
The Sr. Quality Specialist will support enterprise-wide quality assurance, quality improvement, and performance improvement initiatives across a large healthcare organization. This individual will leverage data analytics, process improvement methodologies, and project management principles to identify opportunities, drive sustainable improvements, and support organizational quality goals.
The role requires strong healthcare quality expertise, stakeholder collaboration, project leadership, and the ability to translate data into actionable improvement strategies that enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives across healthcare operations.
• Analyze clinical, operational, and quality performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate data-driven performance improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, RPI, or similar methodologies.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards, reports, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, and executive stakeholders to improve organizational performance.
• Support regulatory readiness and compliance with healthcare quality standards.
• Conduct root cause analyses and recommend corrective action plans.
• Monitor quality improvement initiatives and measure effectiveness through established KPIs.
• Assist in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Facilitate process mapping, workflow analysis, and operational improvement efforts.
• Provide education and guidance regarding quality improvement methodologies and best practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and patient-centered excellence.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible and directly related experience within a large acute care hospital or healthcare system (5 years with a Master's Degree).
• Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, and/or Data-Driven Performance Improvement.
• Healthcare industry experience is required.
• Project Management, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Robust Process Improvement (RPI) Certification required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Experience leading complex quality and operational improvement projects.
• Experience utilizing healthcare performance metrics and quality reporting tools.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree in a related discipline.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide healthcare quality initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with clinical quality measures, patient safety initiatives, and healthcare accreditation standards.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
