The Work

Our Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support the integration, test, and verification of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. The Radar Systems Engineer will:

• Apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts to develop revolutionary system solutions • Support integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution • Conduct system verification and support certification activities • Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program, and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters • Have strong analytical and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment • Be comfortable working in hands-on laboratory or field environments • Work a non-standard shift as needed • Have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support site installs, checkout, and integration testing

This position requires a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent combined with minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Masters degree with 3 years of related experience • Functional knowledge of radar systems, subsystems, and components • Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars • Experience in the integration and test of Solid State Radar systems • High proficiency in MATLAB, C++ or Python • Ability to perform data analysis • Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support site installs, checkout, and integration testing • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent • Radar systems development experience including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling & simulation • Hands-on experience with RF systems or antenna testing including near-field and far-field measurement techniques • Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts, such as evenings, nights, and/or weekends as required by the supported program highly desirable • Experience in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Aircraft Warfare (AAW) concepts and design implementation • Technical leadership experience with program execution • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics, and problem-solving skills • Experience with automated build and system development • Experience with managing pipelines across classification boundaries • Ability to deploy new technologies, educate others on their use, and integrate them into workflows

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
