Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc) Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible
  • Competent in two or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma)
  • Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems. Assists in the reconciliation of errors, duplicate orders, dictation, etc
  • Assists Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department forms per protocol i.e. incident reports, side/site forms, etc Completes exam(s) in Radnet,enters notes or other required documentation into Radnet, DR or other computer systems

Job Requirements

Required

  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program and Two years radiology experience
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, or
  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or
  • Registered Technologist Mammography, or
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or
  • Registered Technologist Quality Management, or
  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, or
  • Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad,or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography
