Amazon is a fast-growing business in need of a Recruiting Business Partner to support graduate student hiring growth across all Amazon businesses.

The AUTA Recruiting Business Partner will be aligned to the business working closely with business leaders and Talent Acquisition to drive campus recruiting strategy; including requirements gathering, process improvement for interviewing and closing candidates while acting as the main point of contact for multiple lines of business within Amazon. You will also act as a consultant to business leadership around addressable market trends, talent strategy, and other areas of importance within the student hiring space.

The individual will draw on knowledge of talent acquisition and/or program management and show a strong ability to work through ambiguous challenges, think critically, and drive strong relationships with stakeholders, academic leaders, hiring managers, and PXT partners. Recruiters on this team have the unique opportunity to showcase Amazon's employer brand as the first point of engagement with students. The individual cultivates relationships with academic leaders, candidates, and community influencers at in person at conferences, as well as through strategic sourcing efforts throughout the year.

The ideal candidate must be able to earn trust and influence autonomously with key stakeholders. They must be able to plan and prioritize against customer targets, manage and hire candidates against tight timelines, have demonstrated ability to use metrics to drive and show results, while remaining calm in times of high volume and ambiguity. Thriving in a growth environment and having a strength in problem-solving will be critical to success in this role. The best candidate will draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition while forging dynamic relationships with business leaders, cross-functional partners, and centralized student hiring teams.

Key job responsibilities

We"re looking for a strategic leader who can:

  • Provide strategic guidance and becomes an advisor to business leaders and stakeholders in developing and implementing student hiring strategies that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company.
  • Articulate in writing recruitment plans with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
  • Partner with hiring teams to build effective student sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
  • Participate in and/or own special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, calibration with Hiring Managers and engagement strategies that will attract the best and brightest student talent.
