Position Title: Sr. Residential Mortgage Loan Officer (RMLO)

Position Summary: You will act as liaison between customers and our financial institution, and you will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
• Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
• Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
• Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them
• Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
• Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services
• Assess customer needs, explore all options, and introduce different types of loans
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type:

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Travel:

Limited travel is expected for this position. Typically, travel will be to Houston, TX for training.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This position uses office equipment such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets and printers. The ability to work remote at times will also be allowed.

Physical Demands:

This position will be responsible for writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, and reaching.

Mental Demands:

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 5-years' experience as a loan originator
• High School Graduate
