The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. What You Will Do
Environmental Health & Workplace Safety is dedicated to the reduction of risks within the Sharp HealthCare community, and promotes safety as a value with the goal of supporting the mission of Sharp Healthcare by helping staff, patients, and visitors take an active role in protecting their health and the environment.
The Senior Safety Management Specialist is responsible for 24-hour, 7-day a week operations of the Safety Officer function incorporating the regulatory elements of the environment of care (EOC), emergency management (EM) and fire safety (FS) in daily practice and routinely works collaboratively (on both site specific and system-wide initiatives), with leadership, and other functional groups to design, implement, and maintain a environmental health and safety program. This position will report to the Prgm Mgr-Environmental Health/Workplace Safety.
This role implements and maintains a proactive and comprehensive process for identifying and effectively managing physical and behavior-based hazards to people, property, and the environment as well as evaluates effectiveness of the all safety programs including emergency management, safety training, hazard surveillance, exposure monitoring, incident management as well as policy and procedure development.
