    As our Safety & Security Supervisor, you'll do much more than patrol a campus—you'll mentor students, lead a dedicated team, respond to challenges with confidence, and help create a safe, welcoming environment where young people can learn, grow, and succeed.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact by:

    Leading and supervising the Safety & Security team to ensure a safe and secure campus.

    Patrolling the center and monitoring campus activities to keep students, staff, and visitors safe.

    Responding to emergencies, incidents, and unexpected situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

    Conducting building and property security checks, including doors, lighting, vehicles, emergency equipment, and facility access.

    Preparing clear, accurate incident reports and maintaining security logs.

    Partnering with Center Leadership to quickly communicate situations requiring immediate attention.

    Mentoring student leaders by providing training on:

    • Communication Skills
    • Conflict Resolution
    • Leadership
    • Zero Tolerance Expectations
    • Positive Decision-Making

    Helping create a positive residential environment where students feel safe, respected, and supported.

    Modeling professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and outstanding customer service every day.

    Supporting campus-wide safety initiatives and contributing to a culture built on respect, integrity, and inclusion.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 3 months of experience in security
    • At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

    Preferred

    • Experience working with youth or young adults
    • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
    • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities

    Additional Requirements:

    Must have regular attendance.  Ability to motivate and inspire staff. Ability to design and implement work plans. Ability to establish and handle multiple priorities. Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification. Proficiency with personal computer and applicable software. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Position requires an ability to operate office equipment.  In addition, individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with Center staff and departments.
