    Senior Safety Supervisor

    Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
    Location: Conshohocken, PA

    Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Supervisor to support high-profile Life Sciences construction projects throughout the Southeast Pennsylvania region. This is an outstanding opportunity for a safety professional who is passionate about protecting people, promoting a strong safety culture, and partnering with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

    This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, fast-paced construction projects with the potential for future assignments throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

    Position Overview

    As a Senior Safety Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance on active construction projects. Working closely with project management, construction teams, and regional safety leadership, you will help develop and maintain a proactive safety culture focused on preventing incidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting operational excellence.

    This position requires a highly visible field presence and the ability to build strong working relationships with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and craft personnel while providing technical safety guidance and leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and support project-wide health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
    • Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and visible field leadership.
    • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and observations.
    • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and subcontractor safety plans.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and client safety requirements.
    • Lead incident notification, investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
    • Support injury management and return-to-work programs.
    • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project safety training.
    • Collaborate with project management and construction leadership to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
    • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and provide coaching to improve compliance.
    • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, inspections, and regulatory records.
    • Assist with operational readiness reviews and project safety planning.
    • Promote continuous improvement initiatives that drive outstanding safety performance.
    • Serve as a trusted safety resource for project teams and client stakeholders.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience.
    • 5–10+ years of construction industry experience, including:
      • Health & Safety support on active construction projects; and/or
      • Construction trade leadership experience (Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, Lead Craft, or similar) with safety responsibilities.
    • Experience supporting both self-perform and subcontractor construction crews.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
    • Experience conducting field safety observations, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
    • Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
    • Experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and employee coaching.
    • Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with field personnel, supervisors, management, and clients.
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

    Required Certifications

    Candidates should possess at least one of the following certifications:

    • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
    • OSHA 510
    • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
    • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)

    Additional professional safety certifications are highly preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, mission-critical, or other highly regulated construction environments.
    • Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
    • Ability to influence safety culture across multiple contractors and project teams.
    • Experience collaborating with owners, engineers, and construction management teams to proactively integrate safety into project execution.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor field teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
