Job Summary

Freeport LNG is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Scheduler with experience developing integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 to support our project team and portfolio of small, medium, and large projects. The ideal candidate will have Oil & Gas industry experience, specifically supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction projects for an Owner/Operator, including both greenfield and brownfield projects executed on a T&M and lump sum basis. Practical field construction experience as a craftsman, field foreman, field supervisor, or other relevant field role is strongly preferred, as this experience is valuable in developing realistic, logic-driven, resource-loaded schedules with accurate sequencing and durations.

The Senior Project Scheduler is responsible for the schedule development of all phases including FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup. Responsibilities include progress tracking and forecasting, scheduling reporting and analysis, monitoring and analyzing contractor schedules, and providing support to the project team to maximize visibility of schedule status, progress, and forecasted completion. The role is based in Quintana TX, with the flexibility to travel to HQ in Houston, TX.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and progress detailed, logic-driven, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 for FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup phases.
  • Develop granular, fully integrated EPC schedules that accurately reflect scope, sequencing, work constraints, resource requirements, quantities, durations, and project execution strategy.
  • Develop construction schedules from the scope of work, construction drawings, isometrics, general arrangements, work packages, and other project documents with minimal support from craft or discipline leads.
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure full project alignment and visibility of key interfaces.
  • Develop project-specific milestones, schedule basis, work breakdown structures, project coding structures, and schedule control procedures.
  • Capture, validate, and report schedule progress on a routine basis, including weekly progress updates, KPI reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis.
  • Develop progress tracking systems to measure, validate, and visualize project progress, productivity, earned value, quantities, and forecasted completion.
  • Monitor and update schedule progress toward achieving the required project completion date and communicate changes to schedule outcome to the project team and management.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant project scheduling, project controls, construction planning, field supervision, or related industrial project execution experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
  • Experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Startup, Maintenance, or Turnaround schedules in the Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Refining, Power, or other heavy industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, analyze, and progress logic-driven project schedules in Primavera P6.
