Sr. Scientific Services Support

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Laboratory Support Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Tarrytown, NY. Details of the position are as follows: 

Job Description: 

• $25-28/hr to start!
• Monday-Friday 
• This position is a 12-month assignment with the possibility of extension or conversion. 
• Position will be responsible for supporting centralized laboratory glassware services, including the collection, cleaning, sterilization, inspection, and redistribution of laboratory glassware and plasticware while ensuring compliance with SOPs, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and laboratory safety standards.
• Position will also be responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory support equipment, including autoclaves, glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths, completing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, inventory monitoring, and equipment documentation.
• Position will also mentor and train team members, assist with SOP development and revisions, support continuous process improvement initiatives, collaborate with laboratory support teams, and provide cross-functional backup support as needed.

• Laboratory support, glassware processing, or laboratory operations experience is Required!
• Experience following SOPs, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and laboratory safety procedures is Required!
• Previous experience mentoring or training team members is Preferred! 
• Experience developing, revising, or maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is Preferred!
