    The Healthcare AI organization in AWS is seeking an exceptional Senior Software Development Manager to lead new v1 services along side existing services such as HealthLake, Comprehend Medical, and HealthScribe. Our products make it easy for providers and payers to improve the health of individuals and populations, reduce the cost of care, and deliver exceptional care. You will work with a diverse team brought together and motivated by work that improves people's lives, while being challenged on a daily basis. You will lead multiple teams of software engineers and applied scientists, driving the technical direction and delivery of services that are transforming healthcare through cloud computing and artificial intelligence. This is an area that requires solving the hardest engineering challenges to enable data processing, analytics, and machine learning solutions for our customers. Our services have to be scalable, efficient, and extremely fault tolerant. Experience with data processing, analytics and/or machine learning systems is required.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Drive technical strategy, design, development, deployment, and operations for new and existing AWS services working alongside Amazon Connect, HealthLake, Comprehend Medical, and HealthScribe.
    • Lead and mentor multiple managers and their teams, including software developers and applied scientists.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to define product vision, roadmap, and create impactful solutions.
    • Build and grow high-performing teams.
    • Drive architectural decisions for large-scale, highly available cloud services.
    • Ensure operational excellence and compliance with industry standards.
    • Manage multiple concurrent programs and projects in an intrapreneurial environment.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence.
    • Solve complex challenges that healthcare organizations face today through innovative use of cloud and AI technologies.
