Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst / Security Compliance Specialist to analyze the information security environment and support the development of security measures that safeguard company information assets against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
The role will work closely with management, IT teams, development personnel, risk teams, auditors, facilities, and security personnel to identify, document, and implement security plans that ensure software applications, hardware, telecommunications, systems, and computer installations are appropriately protected.
 
Top 5 Must-Have Skills:
• Deep understanding of NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53 controls and compliance requirements
• Prior experience with U.S. Government IT compliance requirements, including Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
• Experience developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and required compliance documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including policy/procedure drafting and regulatory interpretation
• Practical audit and control testing experience with the ability to manage projects and drive actions across functional teams

 
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead information security technology tasks and projects
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain project plans
• Prepare cost analysis estimates for information security tasks and projects
• Keep project plans updated and aligned with project objectives
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management and business partners
• Interact with customers as required by project objectives
• Understand business processes as they relate to information security
• Define, redesign, and document security processes and procedures
• Coordinate development and delivery of information security awareness initiatives
• Work with resource owners to determine appropriate security policies for securable resources
• Consult with IT staff to evaluate, select, install, and configure hardware and software systems that support

 
security functions:
• Assist resource owners in understanding and responding to security failures and issues
• Investigate security-related events and identify potential risks or incidents
• Communicate normal and exception processing of security authorization requests and breaches to appropriate personnel
• Assist with documentation and maintenance of security policies and resource classification
• Present security status, project status, and security training to management and IT personnel as needed
• Proactively help protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company information
• Consult with business units to ensure realistic and effective security enforcement mechanisms
• Support security policy reviews and log auditing activities
• Assist in developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures
• Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new or improved information security technologies
• Train information owners on implementation of required computer security controls
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of relevant information security, compliance, audit, or risk management experience
• BS/BA degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and formal training
• Strong understanding of government information security regulations and control frameworks
• Experience with IT compliance documentation and audit support
• Experience with data administration, security methods, and database design techniques
• Familiarity with multi-platform environments and IT auditing practices
• Ability to manage multiple network security projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and task management skills

 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Airline industry experience
• Broad exposure to business planning, systems analysis, and/or application development
• Experience working with enterprise-wide security programs
• Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity processes
