Sr Security Supervisor

Job Summary

Work Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift, Hours are Friday-Sunday, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

each position includes four (4) hours of overlap each week, with the specific day and time to be determined based on operational needs.

The department observes six (6) major holidays annually. Senior Security Supervisors will participate in the holiday rotation, working three (3) major holidays and receiving three (3) major holidays off each year.

Part of the Patrol Division, the Security Supervisor 2 leads a team of security officers who patrol assigned areas, ensuring the safety and security of the facility or property. This position involves planning patrol routes, monitoring officer performance, responding to incidents, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. The Security Supervisor 2 is expected to handle more complex security issues and often works closely with clinical and organizational leaders, law enforcement and/or emergency responders. The Security Supervisor 2 plays a key role in training and mentoring junior officers, ensuring they are equipped to handle various security challenges. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.

Education Requirements

• 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.

• IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
