Secure Every Identity, from AI to HumanIdentity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence. This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. Were all in on this mission. If you are too, lets talk.About this role Okta's Brand and Creative team is looking for a Sr. Social Content Manager to own what Okta says and publishes across our social media presence. You will run the content engine behind two of our three organic social programs: the storytelling on our owned brand channels, and the content that powers our employee advocacy program. You will produce and ship posts across our recurring content types, write the copy that carries them, and shape a growing supply of content from across marketing into work that feels genuinely made for social. You are a writer at your core, the kind who opens on the strongest line, takes a real position, and can make a dense security idea land in a single scroll. You are also an editor and a program-runner: you decide what each post is doing and whose voice should carry it, you keep a roadmap moving against a busy calendar, and you have a clear point of view on why each channel earns its place. Our audience is senior, technical, and skeptical, made up of the leaders and practitioners responsible for security and identity, so the insight underneath the work has to be real enough for a security leader to respect. Much of what you publish will be in service of "Okta Secures AI," our story about securing identity in the agentic era, which also spans the humans and machines behind it. You lead with a point of view rather than chasing clicks, you move fast when the conversation demands it, and you genuinely find this subject interesting. What you will do Own the content for our organic brand channels, anchored to the global campaign calendar and our biggest moments, from launches and research to key company events like Oktane Produce and publish a steady stream of channel-native content across our recurring content types, including thought leadership, proof, company and product news, day-in-the-life, and events Write social copy that leads with a point of view and a strong opening line, matching voice and tone to the job each post is doing Partner closely with our social designer to turn ideas into channel-native creative Run the content engine behind our employee advocacy program, curating the one or two things each audience should share weekly and writing the copy for them, so registration drivers and demand content reach the right networks at scale Shape a growing supply of content from across marketing, including customer video, webinar cuts, newsroom thought leadership, and event recordings, into work that performs on social Lead our editorial approach to timeliness and cultural relevance, knowing when to push and when to stay credible, and moving content through our trend and approval process quickly Use engagement and audience data to learn what works, then turn it into repeatable approaches that raise the bar over time Help set the editorial standard for how Okta shows up on social, and bring a clear point of view on what to make, what to skip, and why What experience you have Senior-level experience owning social content for a brand, ideally in-house or in a social-native environment, with a track record of running the calendar and shipping independently Exceptional social writing: you can take a complex or technical idea and make it sharp, human, and scroll-stopping Strong editorial judgment about what each post is for, whose voice should carry it, and when to lead with credibility versus a clever, timely hook Experience with employee or social advocacy programs, or a clear sense of how peer-to-peer sharing differs from brand publishing A point of view on what performs on LinkedIn, YouTube, and X, and how each channel earns its place Comfort making technical or abstract subject matter genuinely interesting for a senior, skeptical audience, and genuine interest in the security and AI space A test-and-learn mindset: comfortable reading engagement data and using what you learn to sharpen the work Ability to work fast, juggle many moving pieces, and thrive in a high-trust environment where there is always a new post tomorrow Experience coordinating across creative, demand gen, comms, and events partners B2B or technology experience is a plus Why you should be excited about this role You will shape the voice and content of one of the most important companies in identity and AI You will build a content engine across owned channels and advocacy, not just fill a calendar You will make work that is seen, shared, and talked about, in a category most people assume cant be made interesting Why we are excited about you You lead with a point of view and know what makes content worth stopping for You write with speed, range, and a strong sense of voice You see a complex story and immediately know the version that will land, and who should tell it #LI-Hybrid P25290_3467630The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:$143,000-$196,900 USDBelow is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
