Sr Software Developer

This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office/2 days remote).About your team:Join our UI Brokerage team, the group behind IBKR's Web API platform - a mission-critical system that powers real-time, high-availability services for third parties, clients, and IBKR's own client-facing applications. Our platform is at the core of day-to-day trading and brokerage operations, making reliability, performance, and security top priorities in everything we build.What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

You will work with business and internal teams, adding new features and interfaces as required.You will write documentation units and regression tests for new interfaces.You will write backend services and/or clients that will help expose internal services.You will provide third-level support.

Which skills are required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.Proven experience as a Java Developer with expertise in Java, Spring, Vert.xProficiency in using Git version control for code management and collaboration.Strong command of RESTful web services and experience in designing and implementing them.Experience with JUnit or other testing frameworks for writing unit and integration tests.Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.Experience with WebSockets and real-time communication in a Java-based environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the industryFamiliarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) is a plus.Previous experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
