Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in Informatica to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes. This role requires a deep understanding of data integration and transformation, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to deliver high quality data solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
Optimize existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
Document data processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to data engineering and Informatica.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Assist in the development of data governance and data management best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud.
Proficient in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleansing and transformation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
Proven experience with Informatica as a primary ETL tool.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Certifications in Informatica or related technologies are a plus.
