    Be the one to decide what 90 million+ people watch next. You"ll solve some of the most compelling problems in streaming by designing and building the recommendation systems that help customers discover the right content at the right time across FireTV"s browse experience.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain core features for FireTV"s browse experience, ensuring high quality and reliability across millions of devices
    • Collaborate with team members to investigate technical approaches, prototype new capabilities, and assess feasibility of innovative solutions
    • Contribute to the architecture and design of new systems and improvements to existing infrastructure
    • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain software quality standards
    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on solutions based on user feedback
    • Perform data deep dives to understand customer behavior, design and run A/B experiments to improve customer experience

    A day in the life

    As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the FireTV recommendations team, you"ll focus on developing and enhancing customer browse features that enable our customer to discover the right content at the right time. Your day might include collaborating with cross-functional partners to evaluate new technical approaches, prototyping solutions to complex recommendation challenges, and contributing to the architecture of systems that serve millions of users. You"ll participate in design reviews, write and review code with your teammates, and help troubleshoot issues that arise in production environments. Beyond your core development work, you"ll mentor junior engineers, share your technical insights during team discussions, and contribute to our continuous improvement processes.
