As a Senior Software Development & Engineering Manager in Retirement Plan Services, you are responsible for leading one or more software delivery teams. You will ensure they are able to consistently produce high-quality output by providing guidance and support for all facets of software delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, tooling, and support. You will serve as a strong, versatile hands-on technical leader to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT across Software Engineering/Development roles
  • 5+ years of people leadership, supporting highly technical individuals
  • 5+ years of experience running small to medium-sized projects and initiatives
  • Experience leading efforts to drive the adoption of generative AI and machine learning technologies throughout the SDLC, overseeing AI-assisted code generation, debugging, and architectural design.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) processes in planning, implementation and support of business applications, including change & release management
  • A strong knowledge of, and demonstrated expertise in, software design, development, testing, maintenance and support is required
  • Professional experience assembling and leading teams that developed distributed scalable enterprise-class applications with a few of the following technologies: C#, ASP, .NET, Delphi, Angular, SQL Server, Oracle, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, SAML, OAuth, REST and SOAP-based APIs
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport with and influence team members, peers, and partners
  • Ability to attract, engage and retain top, diverse technical talent
  • Ability to coach team members, to aid identifying and achieving their personal and professional development goals
  • Understand and leverage team member strengths to accomplish team, organization, and corporate goals
  • Client-focused mindset, driven to understand and exceed the expectations of our internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical issues to peers, partners, all levels of the technology organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Test Driven Development
  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as PCF, GCP and AWS is preferred
  • A software engineering background preferred

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
