Sr. Solution Architect - Legacy Modernization/Azure

Preferred Locations: Atlanta, GA or Miami, FL

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the architecture for a large-scale AI-led modernization program. The role will focus on transforming a mission-critical HP NonStop COBOL/C++ platform into a modern Azure/.NET ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise architecture, legacy modernization, cloud-native application design, data migration, integrations, and AI-assisted delivery models.

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for legacy modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Define target-state architecture across application, data, integration, and cloud layers.
• Support modernization of HP NonStop / COBOL / C++ systems into Azure/.NET platforms.
• Analyze legacy applications, batch processes, business rules, and integration flows.
• Design scalable solutions using .NET, Azure, APIs, messaging, and cloud-native patterns.
• Guide development teams on architecture standards, technical design, scalability, and reliability.
• Support data migration, ETL strategy, integration design, and functional equivalence validation.
• Work with business, technology, DevOps, QA, and delivery teams in an Agile environment.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices where AI accelerates code analysis, documentation, testing, and delivery.

Strong experience in enterprise solution architecture, large-scale modernization, legacy re-engineering, cloud-native architecture, .NET Core / .NET 6+ / .NET 8, C#, Microsoft Azure, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, API design, integration patterns, messaging, data architecture, ETL, data migration, HP NonStop or mainframe concepts, COBOL, batch processing, code analysis, reverse engineering, rule extraction, Agile delivery, and stakeholder leadership.

Experience with BFSI domains such as insurance or lending, large enterprise transformation programs, GenAI / Agentic AI tools, AI-led delivery models, DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation.

• Strong background in enterprise architecture and legacy modernization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure/.NET-based transformation programs.
• Experience working with legacy platforms such as HP NonStop, mainframe, COBOL, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
