Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the discovery, architecture, and solution design for a next-generation, cloud-based data dashboard. This role will define the technical architecture, user experience, implementation roadmap, and modernization strategy for a large-scale web application. The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise solution architecture, cloud technologies, API integrations, and modern application design.
Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and gather business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Design the overall solution architecture, technology stack, and integration strategy.
• Develop user-centered application workflows and refine UX/UI designs.
• Create implementation roadmaps, project backlogs, and phased delivery plans.
• Define cloud architecture, security, scalability, and performance strategies.
• Design API integration approaches and authentication frameworks.
• Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align solution design with organizational goals.

Required Skills:

• Water & Environmental related industry experience
• UX-Centered modernization & Agile Methodology
• Experience designing enterprise software and web application architectures.
• Strong background in solution architecture, cloud-native application design, and API integrations.
• Experience with requirements gathering, business analysis, and technical roadmap development.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience developing architecture documentation and implementation plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with React, Node.js, and modern web application architectures.
• Familiarity with GIS-enabled applications and mapping technologies.
• Experience with cloud APIs, identity management, and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
• Background in environmental, scientific, or data-intensive platforms is a plus.
