Are you passionate about revolutionizing how customers experience home services through innovative technology solutions? Amazon"s Home Services team is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to drive the technical onboarding of new selling partners and transform their journey from account creation to live operations. You will combine your knowledge of system integration architecture, AWS services, and programming languages like Java and Python to architect and deliver scalable solutions that remove friction and accelerate business growth.

In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between complex selling partner requirements and our platform capabilities, working directly with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. Your analytical mindset and customer-focused approach will be essential as you navigate ambiguous challenges, translate business needs into technical solutions, and continuously identify opportunities to enhance our services and scale operations. You must be an effective communicator, a strong collaborator across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, and able to lead a diverse and decentralized team of professionals.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and architect end-to-end technical solutions for complex selling partner onboarding requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence across diverse integration scenarios
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with new service providers to understand their systems architecture, define solution requirements, and create comprehensive process alignment strategies that accelerate time-to-market
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business development teams to translate customer feedback into clear technical requirements and influence product roadmap decisions
  • Drive API integration development and testing processes, providing technical guidance on best practices for system connectivity, data flow optimization, and quality assurance protocols
  • Build and maintain technical thought leadership through documentation, reference architectures, and enablement materials that can be leveraged across the broader Solutions Architecture community
  • Build and implement automation solutions leveraging generative AI tools to streamline the onboarding process from account creation to live operations, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency

A day in the life

As a Solutions Architect III on the Home Services team, you"ll start your day reviewing technical requirements for new seller integrations, analyzing their existing systems and designing optimal API integration strategies. You"ll spend time conducting technical discovery sessions with prospective partners, walking them through solution architectures and addressing complex integration challenges. Throughout the day, you"ll collaborate with internal engineering teams to refine automation tools, participate in QA testing for upcoming launches, and develop generative AI solutions that streamline repetitive onboarding tasks.

About the team

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
