As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers' businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

AWS Senior Solutions Architects are technologists with expert-level domain-specific knowledge. They can solve our customer"s most complex problems and scale their knowledge throughout our product/sales organization. Most importantly, they form the bridge between our customers and product teams, bringing first-hand customer experience into our product roadmaps and feature development plans.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect with deep expertise in clinical trials and life sciences data to enable new capabilities for our customers through AI-powered clinical trial solutions. This is not a traditional life sciences consulting role-you will own and influence product, technical and GTM strategy for the next wave of AI-driven clinical trial solutions where AI moves from evidence generation, analytics to autonomous action. We are looking for someone who has built and shipped production-ready clinical data systems, not just prototypes, and understands the hard business/technical choices required to close the gap between proof-of-concept and GxP-validated deployment at scale.

You will interact with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and biotech customers directly to understand their hardest clinical operations problems, help them architect and implement scalable AI-powered solutions (often via proof-of-concepts), and feed those insights back to shape the product features that developers and scientists will build on. Working with account teams, applied scientists, and product teams, you"ll drive customer implementations, define new solution patterns, and create reusable architectures for clinical trials.

We are part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions at AWS, where we focus on building AI agents for enterprise customers. We work backwards from our customer"s most business-critical problems to build global solutions for the industry.

About the Company

A

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
