CREATIVE PROJECT MANAGER

PURPOSE:
The Creative Project Manager helps instill corporate brand by leading cross-functional creative teams to deliver best-in-class, multi-channel creative solutions. The ideal candidate is motivated and proactive, with a passion for insights-driven marketing, creative problem solving and has a deep understanding of how creative work is achieved through projects, workflows and processes. Additionally, you’ll demonstrate stewardship and provide project leadership to meet Division strategies and business objectives.
The Creative Project Manager leads campaigns and projects within the organization, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with strategic goals. The Creative Project Manager will manage multiple projects and serve as an expert to lead project management methodologies, coordination and plans.
This role is part of the Abbott Creative team, a group within Abbott’s Global Marketing and External Affairs team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership
• Collaborate with strategists, creative directors, writers, designers to develop strategically driven creative campaigns and content that attracts, engages and activates target audiences, while increasing Abbott’s share of voice and brand awareness metrics.
• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Act as central point of contact for business partners and creative team members.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with business partners, internal teams and external partners
• Collaborate with team to establish and maintain roles and responsibilities throughout project lifecycle.
• Document project plan in project management software and maintain project documentation. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Execute scope change management and project close-out processes.
• Participate in project assessments and communicate lessons learned.
• Lead Project Management team partnership with Operations team to provide forecasting; have advanced understanding of tracking, reporting and oversight on project budget, expenditures and metrics.
• Proactively identify and manage project opportunities, issues and risks, and escalate issues in a timely manner to leadership.
• Influence the development of ideas that reinforce the values of the Abbott brand.
• Exhibit critical thinking to connect and align bodies of work to the Abbott brand.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Creative agency experience required; creative agency experience within a healthcare setting desired. Communications, Advertising, or Marketing Agency experience is beneficial.
• Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
• Comprehensive personal computer skills including demonstrated spreadsheet, word processing and database management capabilities are required.
• Experience working with project management tools and software.
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
• Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Project Management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5 years of agency or corporate experience
