Deer Park, IL location is seeking a Sr Staff Software Engineer

THE POSITION
Sr Staff Software Engineer, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc.
(d/b/a AUMOVIO), Deer Park, IL:
Design and develop robust software in C/C++ language that complies with
customer requirements and internal software processes for embedded SW
for Linux and AutoSAR operating for the telematics product using
reusable assets for functionality such as connectivities, and backend
communications. Analyze requirements in DOORS NextGen/DOORS, Architect
and Design using UML/Rhapsody. Perform system and software reviews using
review tools (e.g. git/gerrit), identification of code metrics using
static code analysis or unit test. Systematically solve problems and
perform root cause analysis and identify problems as they occur and take
appropriate steps to solve them. Apply failure mode effect and analysis
and structured problem solving (FMEA, 8D, 5-Why, A3). Perform functional
testing (performance, memory, stability) to ensure the functionality and
performance meets the customer requirements and identify corrective
actions if a gap is identified. Creation and delivery of technical
presentations for both external customers and internal groups to support
technical design reviews and solution definition.
Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month.
Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, $156,729.00 -
$185,730.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of
progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related technical
field as an engineer.
Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of
the following:
- C/C++ language for embedded systems microcontrollers software
development with Compilers such as WindRiverDiab, and GreenHills SW;
- Lauterbach Trace 32 debugging tool; and
- Microcontrollers from Silicon Vendor platforms such as Renesas,
Freescale, Infineon, Qualcomm, or NXP.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of
the following:
- Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and real-time embedded systems
including multi-threading, or memory management;
- Automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, or Ethernet;
- Software Configuration Management Systems and Gerrit;
- Requirement Management tools (IBM Doors or DNG);
- Issue tracking system (JIRA or Rational Synergy); and
- Documentation and Design (Rhapsody or Doxygen).
Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month.
