This position works primarily in a warehouse environment. You will perform receiving functions, stock, pick/pack, and deliver medical supplies from the Distribution Center (UCDC) to UCLA Health's hospital and ambulatory clinics.xc2xa0

Responsibilities include:

• Complete shipments by processing and loading orders and ensure all goods are in excellent condition.
• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
• Completes deliveries by driving truck or van
• Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Enforces inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and report any missing or lost inventory to management
• Provides quality service by following organization standards
• Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
• Train, and evaluate new storekeeper staff to ensure high performance and accountability.

Required:

• Current CA Driver's License with good driving record (subject to DMV Pull).
• Experience in inventory or warehouse management system.
• Ability to operate a University vehicle to deliver supplies to multiple off-site locations.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience utilizing heavy duty transport carts, furniture dollies, supply dollies, cargo van, box truck, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and forklift.
• Ability to maintain equipment, truck, and van by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Strong communication skills with a strong customer service emphasis.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Ability to strictly obey the healthcare regulations for infection control.
• Consistently maintains good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format.
