We are currently hiring a Full-Time Sr. Strategic Sourcing Lead, Marketing hybrid* in Boston, MA.

You will lead strategic sourcing and category management efforts that drive commercial growth and profitability. In this role, you'll partner closely with stakeholders and suppliers to optimize costs, improve quality, and reduce risk while delivering innovative sourcing strategies. You'll play a key role in shaping supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement across marketing categories.

  • A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams'' weekly schedule.

What You''ll Brew:

  • Develop and execute category management and strategic sourcing strategies to drive value and business growth
  • Analyze industry trends and supply markets to identify risks and strategic opportunities
  • Lead sourcing events (Request for Information, Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal) and contract negotiations to optimize Total Cost of Ownership
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, including performance tracking through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements, draft Statements of Work, and implement sourcing initiatives
  • Manage supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management, including Master Service Agreements and amendments
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve procurement systems, policies, and processes
  • Track, report, and validate cost savings and future opportunities
  • Work in a dynamic office environment with occasional travel and potential extended hours during critical business situations

What Ingredients You''ll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or related fields
  • Experience leading sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier management initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and market intelligence
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage supplier performance and ensure contract compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other graduate degree
  • Strong program and project management capabilities
  • Experience leading organizational or process change initiatives

Level: 5IC

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $93,000 and $147,000. However, it''s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
