Salary Range: $93,000 - $140,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A top-tier Engineering Firm in the Cleveland, Ohio area to find a Senior Level Structural Designer who will work closely with Lead Engineers and Project Managers in order to create infrastructure designs to meet or exceed client specifications

Responsibilities
  • Lead and complete structural layouts for projects ranging from simple modifications to highly complex industrial systems independently.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software to produce accurate 3D models and comprehensive construction drawings.
  • Address and resolve design flaws, inconsistencies, or structural issues from the initial planning phases straight through to final construction.
  • Detail non-standard conditions, perform precise structural measurements, execute simple design calculations, and define material quantities.
  • Work in tandem with the Lead Engineer to immediately correct design discrepancies identified during the quality-checking process.
  • Establish design criteria, maintain structural drawing sequences, and organize documentation order-of-work efficiently.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or 10+ years of direct, hands-on structural design experience in an industrial setting.
  • Advanced skills in Autodesk Products, specifically Revit, Advance Steel, and the AEC Collection, alongside standard computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
  • A strong, proven ability to analyze and design the skeletal framework of heavy industrial structures.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of (or a swift aptitude to learn and apply) the specific building and industry codes required within the structural discipline.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills required to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical findings.
