West Valley Cleanup Alliance is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1B Deactivation & Demolition Contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project site. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, West Valley Demonstration Project continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION
Procure major and critical materials, components/equipment, and services of a highly specialized and complex nature to obtain the most advantageous combination of price, quality, and delivery. Items purchased are under a government funded contract.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
Business Degree or equivalent
DOE or other Government Procurement experience,
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations
Understanding of DOE Prime Contract requirements
Licenses/Certifications:
Certification by the National Association of Purchasing Management or National Contract Management Association preferred.
Education/Experience:
BA/BS in Business, Engineering or Management or recognized equivalent plus a minimum of six (6) years of related experience including 4 years of government related procurement or business management experience.
Working knowledge of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR), procurement, and Prime Contract requirements.W
