OverviewSeeking a highly motivated engineer to join the Supply Chain organization, focused on Plasma Generation and Power Supply systems. This role sits at the intersection of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Productization, partnering with R&D, internal product teams, and external suppliers to develop and scale advanced power delivery systems used in semiconductor equipment.This is a high-impact position supporting next-generation etch and deposition technologies.Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical interface between internal teams (R&D, Product Groups, Program Management) and external suppliers for power supply systems
  • Support development, qualification, and productization of advanced power delivery systems (RF and DC)
  • Apply system-level engineering approaches to resolve issues related to equipment functionality, reliability, and component quality
  • Drive supplier quality and performance, including audits, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) for manufacturing, test, and field issues
  • Collaborate with design teams and suppliers to develop, implement, and maintain test strategies and fixtures
  • Support product qualification, change management (EC processes), and lifecycle engineering activities
  • Travel to supplier sites and Lam facilities (up to 20%) to conduct assessments, audits, and investigations
  • Participate in program and project management activities across high-impact initiatives
Technical Focus Areas
  • High-voltage DC power supplies and high-power RF/analog systems
  • Power electronics and high-power PCBA design and manufacturing
  • Electro-mechanical integration and system-level design
  • Calibration, validation, and test processes for complex systems
  • Firmware/software, communications, and control systems integration
  • Reliability engineering (e.g., Weibull analysis, accelerated life testing, fault analysis)
  • Automated assembly and test equipment qualification
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in power electronics, including:
    • DC power supplies and high-power RF systems
    • PCBA design and manufacturing
    • Analog and digital circuit design (hands-on experience preferred)
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment or similar high-tech manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of test and validation methodologies, including test fixtures, SPC, gauge studies, and preventive maintenance
  • Experience with product and systems engineering, including reliability, quality systems, and design validation
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across product lifecycles
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with plasma systems or power/plasma interactions
  • Experience managing suppliers and working with OEM power supply vendors
  • Familiarity with quality systems, product qualification, and change control processes (POR, ECN, etc.)
