We are seeking a supply chain manager to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and manage allocations of infrastructure components (PCBA's) across multiple manufacturers and suppliers. In this role, you will: - Perform forecasting, demand analysis, material/inventory management, and manage supply buffers - Understand manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments and reduce cycle times - Work with component suppliers and server manufacturers to analyze, reconcile allocation and monitor changes and cancellations - Participate in requirements gathering - Understand the supply chain network and work with various analytics and software development teams, driving automation - Develop analytical tools and dashboards to track metrics, monitor SLAs, and report findings - Produce written recommendations and insights to inform key stakeholders of supply chain health and help shape solution design Key job responsibilities - Forecast generation and demand planning - Allocations of AWS material from inventory hubs to suppliers - Requirement and Specification reviews with Hardware Engineering - Ocean, air, and ground transportation planning - Supply heatmap generation About the team Why AWS Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience - 6+ years of related industry experience - 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience - 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field - Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent - Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments - Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies - Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company - Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field - Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies - Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction - Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners - Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
