Job Description and Responsibilities
A Senior RF Systems Engineer II in Indianapolis typically supports engineering teams by managing program development from concept through verification and validation. Key responsibilities include:
• Requirements development • Participation in system design reviews • Test plan creation
• Performing system integration, test execution, and troubleshooting on complex systems • Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders across engineering • Providing installation and/or troubleshooting support at customer sites
Required Skills and Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
8+ years of systems engineering experience, including leadership on large-scale programs
Strategic thinker with the ability to influence technical direction at executive levels.
Clear, persuasive communication tailored to both technical and business audiences, including both internal and external stakeholders.
Exceptional leadership and mentoring capabilities for senior engineering teams.
Familiarity with the systems engineering design process
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461/464
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) electronics
Experience with satellite link performance
Experience with RF network and spectrum analyzers
Basic understanding of RF antenna design concepts
