Title: Sr. Systems Test Engineer
Location: Pittsburg, PA Area
Length: 6 Months+
Rate: $48/Hr - $56/Hr W2
Project Overview: This role is the technical and operational lead for large, multi-pack test systems used to validate auxiliary systems, BMS hardware, power conversion equipment, and full system integration. Responsibilities include planning, setting up, running, and documenting test activities. The right person will have strong technical skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work across teams and mentor engineers and technicians.
Skills:
5+ years of hands-on experience in systems testing, hardware validation, or laboratory test integration. Experience in battery, electric vehicle, aerospace, grid-scale energy storage, or heavy industrial environments is highly valued.
Practical experience with low-voltage wiring, high-voltage battery systems, industrial sensors, including temperature, pressure, and flow sensors, and electromechanical actuators.
Experience creating, modifying, and executing test scripts and data-analysis scripts using Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar test and data-acquisition tools.
General knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, and EtherCAT.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing hardware and software designs.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
