Sr. Systems Security Engineer / AD -3595320

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Systems Engineer – (AD / Infra Security / Automation) position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and can be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Administer and support core infrastructure technologies with a strong focus on Active Directory, incident and request management.
• Manage and resolve technical incidents, service requests, and escalations while ensuring timely communication and high service quality.
• Support and maintain security technologies including Proxy, SIEM, Microsoft Entra ID, DLP, and Firewall platforms.
• Design, implement, and improve infrastructure solutions for complex enterprise environments across server, client, and virtual technologies.
• Troubleshoot advanced system, network, and security issues by identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, then translate them into structured, scalable solutions.
• Develop and enhance automation processes and tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen operational consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical partners to deliver secure and reliable technology solutions.
• Ensure supported technologies integrate effectively with other systems, applications, and enterprise services.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending better processes, tools, and technical standards.

What You’ll Need to Have:

• 6+ years of professional experience in a technical engineering role supporting infrastructure, systems design, or complex enterprise technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory administration and enterprise identity management.
• Proven background in incident management and request management within a production support environment.
• Experience supporting security platforms such as Proxy, SIEM, Microsoft Entra ID, DLP, and Firewall technologies.
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting to streamline operational processes.
• Strong understanding of server, client, and virtualization technologies.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across infrastructure and security environments.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into high-quality technical solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a process-driven and logical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Pay Range: $55 - $65/hr
