Sr. Talent Acquisition and EEO Specialist

Responsibilities: Sr. Talent Acquisition and EEO Specialist

  • Lead recruiting and staffing of salaried positions across 9 states and 4 product lines (mining, highway constructions, asphalt production and trucking).
  • Work with internet recruiting sources (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc), executive recruiters and placement agencies to ensure a pool of the best available candidates.
  • Work as a consultant with regional Human Resource Coordinators to identify and execute recruiting strategies to fill hourly positions.
  • Educate regional Human Resource Coordinators and "hiring managers " on best hiring practices (interviewing techniques, market rates of pay, relocation benefits, etc).
  • Assist regional Human Resource Coordinators in meeting or exceeding minority and female hiring requirements.
  • Update and submit annual Federal and State reporting for minority and female utilization (EEO-1, VETS etc).
  • Update and administer annual Affirmative Action Plans. Educate all managers on the OFCCP 16 Required Action Steps to ensure construction contract compliance.

Minimum Requirements: Sr. Talent Acquisition and EEO Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree with a relative focus
  • High level of motivation. Ability to work independently. Ability to manage all aspects of talent acquisition and equal opportunity for a 2800 employee company.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills.
  • Exposure to industries such as construction, mining, logistics, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, accept additional HR assignments and travel in the 9 states we operate. Est. 10% Travel
  • Drive and ability to recommend ongoing improvements to the talent acquisition process.
  • Exposure to working with Oracle, Taleo, or similar HR/ATS software systems.
  • 3+ years of recruiting/TA experience at a Firm or on an internal HR team
  • 1+ year of leading EEO efforts for a mid-size organization
