Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to own the technical narrative for Amazon Leo"s public sector products and services and define how Leo is understood, adopted, and trusted by technical decision-makers across civil, defense and SLED markets we serve. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we position and message Leo for the engineers, architects, IT leaders, and technical buyers who will evaluate, deploy, and champion it.

The ideal candidate is a technologist and storyteller in equal measure - someone who can go deep on frequency propagation, network architecture, or enterprise connectivity infrastructure, and then translate that depth into crisp, differentiated messaging that moves technical decision-makers to act. You will drive the technical content strategy end-to-end: from positioning and messaging frameworks to solution briefs, reference architectures, technical whitepapers, thought leadership articles, and competitive intelligence. You will provide an external technical voice for Leo at industry events, in executive briefings, and in analyst engagements.

This role requires exceptional writing and communication skills, a relentless customer obsession, and the ability to operate with high standards in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. You will work closely with product, engineering, sales, and go-to-market teams to ensure that Leo"s technical story is told consistently, compellingly, and with precision.

Key job responsibilities

Own technical positioning and translate complex satellite and networking technology into messaging, and differentiated value propositions that resonate with technical decision makers across industries.

Create high-impact technical content including solution briefs, technical whitepapers, reference architectures, deployment guides, thought leadership articles, demo scripts, RFP response templates, and executive presentations.

Develop and maintain technical sales enablement materials that equip field teams to engage confidently with technical buyers.

Partner with product management and GTM teams to lead technical marketing workstreams for product launches, including naming, audience definition, technical messaging, and content execution.

Drive primary and secondary research to develop deep understanding of technical buyer needs, evaluation criteria, and decision-making processes across target industries.

Synthesize customer feedback, analyst input, and market data to identify positioning gaps and content opportunities, and feed insights back into product strategy.

Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for both technical and executive audiences, and support field teams with technical training, content, and tools that accelerate the sales cycle.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
