Description The Senior Technical Program Manager leads complex, organization-wide change initiatives and provides strategic direction for the change management lifecycle. This role architects new approaches for change management, drives organizational transformation, and influences enterprise-level outcomes while serving as an escalation point for complex issues. Operations Change Management (OCM) is a critical function within GDCO that enables safe, efficient, and value-driven changes for operations, engineering, and other support teams. The TPM is expected to connect tactical execution to strategic outcomes, shaping how Amazon manages and learns from its tooling changes. Key job responsibilities - Lead complex, network-wide change initiatives across the seven-phase change management framework (Intake through Closure) - Develop scalable frameworks and innovative methodologies for change management processes - Drive organizational transformation and connect tactical execution to strategic outcomes - Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships (up to L10) and present strategic narratives to leadership - Mentor team members and develop future talent - Manage multiple strategic programs simultaneously, handling escalations and complex problem-solving - Architect new methodologies that enhance operational excellence and eliminate systemic bottlenecks - Create comprehensive strategies measuring operational impact (CTEI, CVIR, Dwell Time, Day 90+ Adoption) - Author 6-pagers, MBR/QBR/HBR/YBR documents, COEs, and PR/FAQs - Drive continuous improvement through systematic analysis and best practice adoption across the network A day in the life ?? Morning - You wrangle stakeholders like a cat herder with a strategy deck. A network-wide change initiative needs your magic touch - and your calendar already looks like a game of Tetris. ??? Midday - You're polishing a 6-pager for leadership, turning "we moved some tickets" into a compelling transformation narrative. Shakespeare could never. ?? Afternoon - You mentor junior TPM, architect a scalable framework, and casually check your CTEI metrics like a pilot scanning instruments mid-flight. You don't just manage change - you make change. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
