We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our Energy team where youll play a pivotal role in optimizing service technical operations for our Industrial Storage fleet. In this position, youll drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of workflows that ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and high performance across new obligations, remote support, and field activities. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, balancing priorities to support Teslas rapid growth and commitment to reliable, scalable energy solutions. Serve as a key liaison between Operations, Service Engineering, Project Engineering, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize activities, resolve issues, and facilitate successful change management.

Evaluate and optimize service readiness processes and performance metrics across the fleet, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, redundancy elimination, and innovation in areas like remote troubleshooting, field repairs, and contract compliance.

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive workflows and processes for service operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.

Monitor the effectiveness of implemented processes through data analysis and collaboration with teams, making data-driven decisions to improve key performance indicators and ensure obligations are met across diverse service level agreements.

Independently manage multiple high-impact projects, balancing fleet-wide needs with daily operations, while holding high standards for process additions and optimizations.

Design and maintain reporting infrastructure to collect, organize, and present data in the form of reports, presentations, graphs, and spreadsheets, providing actionable insights on performance status and problem histories.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management, operations, or a closely related field, with a proven track record in process optimization, workflow development, and operationalization in energy, industrial, or technical environments (e.g., energy storage, batteries, battery energy storage systems, or power systems).

Demonstrated expertise in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve program goals, including prioritization, collaboration, and change management in dynamic settings.

Strong technical understanding of large-scale energy systems, including troubleshooting, repair processes, remote and field safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements relevant to grid-scale projects.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data, make informed decisions, and drive improvements through metrics and iterative processes.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and the clear conveyance of technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

$112,000 - $217,200 annual salary, cash and stock awards, benefits
