Why Join Omnicell?

At Omnicell, we are transforming how healthcare systems operate-improving efficiency, safety, and outcomes for patients and providers alike. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in strengthening the product engine that powers our enterprise platforms. You'll partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders to orchestrate complex, high‑impact releases across cloud and on‑premise environments, accelerating feature delivery while ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability. This is an opportunity to influence how products scale, how teams collaborate, and how innovation reaches customers faster.

What You'll Do

Primary Impact: Enable predictable, high‑quality software and system releases by aligning cross‑functional teams, optimizing release processes, and driving execution across the full release lifecycle.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will:

  • Drive release strategy and execution across cloud‑based and on‑premise platforms, managing integrated schedules, milestones, and dependencies using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Define, maintain, and communicate release plans that align with product roadmaps, engineering priorities, and business objectives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Lead cross‑functional programs from design through delivery by securing alignment on technical approaches, timelines, and resourcing across Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations.
  • Coordinate across Omnicell functions, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Customer Operations, to ensure end‑to‑end readiness and execution.
  • Anticipate risks and dependencies, proactively identifying issues that may impact scope, schedule, or quality; develop and drive recovery plans when needed.
  • Partner with Change Management and Quality teams to ensure releases are controlled, compliant, and auditable.
  • Identify and manage release risks and blockers, working closely with Product, QA, and Engineering to drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure alignment with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable, repeatable, and efficient deployments.
  • Drive release readiness, coordinating with Product, Marketing, and Customer Operations to ensure documentation, training, and communications are complete.
  • Continuously improve release processes, tooling, and automation through retrospectives, metrics, and data‑driven insights.
  • Provide clear, executive‑level communication, translating complex program status into actionable insights for Product and Engineering leadership.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, business, or finance (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management.
  • 10+ years of experience across program, project, product, or software development roles.
  • Strong foundation in Agile development methodologies and SDLC practices.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross‑functional programs in ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, influence without authority, and manage diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms and large‑scale, multi‑system releases.
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release automation.
  • Familiarity with hybrid, cloud‑based, and on‑premise infrastructure environments.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and workflow visualization tools (e.g., Lucidchart).
  • Experience supporting hardware‑integrated or regulated system releases.
  • Project or Program Management certification (PMP, PgMP, CPM, DAU, or similar).
