The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon's scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Sustainability Science & Technology team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon"s WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon's global business teams.

The Sustainability Science & Technology team is looking for a technical program manager to lead our portfolio of scalable data products across one or more of our environmental impact areas to drive Company-wide strategy and performance measurement. Key job responsibilities

  • Lead a group of cross-functional leaders (e.g. sustainability experts, scientists, economists, engineers, etc.) to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable, distributed services
  • Collaborate with groups of experts and cross-functional colleagues in an agile environment
  • Discover, define, and apply scientific, engineering, and business best practices to customer problems
  • Work on a variety of challenging problems that have to potential to significantly impact sustainability objectives
  • Comfortably sort through urgency and opportunity to continuously deliver for customers while maintaining progress towards long term targets
