Sr. Technical Program/Project Manager,

About the Role

As a Sr. Technical Program/Project Manager, you will make an impact by leading complex technology programs and projects while serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with business leaders, technology teams, project stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to drive successful project outcomes and ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.

In This Role, You Will:

• Lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of complex technology programs and projects across cross-functional teams.
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and translate business needs into actionable technical deliverables.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.
• Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
• Drive project governance, status reporting, issue management, and executive-level communications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment between business objectives and IT deliverables.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while resolving delivery challenges.
• Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement across programs and initiatives.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience managing full project lifecycles including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively engage business and technical audiences.
• Solid technical background with an understanding of IT systems, applications, development processes, and technology constraints.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple project workstreams.
• Experience driving project governance, issue management, and successful delivery of technology initiatives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment while building strong partnerships with stakeholders.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification.
• Experience within Banking and Financial Services organizations.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of project portfolio management and governance frameworks.
• Experience working with executive stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
• Ability to influence decision-making and drive collaboration across large organizations.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 -$136,500 , depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant''s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant''s applicable plans.
