About the Team:

The Dow Jones Print Team is responsible for the production, execution, and delivery of Dow Jones' print publications, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness across globally recognized brands. The team partners cross-functionally with editorial, production, operations, advertising, and circulation teams to manage print workflows, troubleshoot production issues, coordinate deadlines, and support the successful publication of daily and special print editions. Team members operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and consistency of Dow Jones print products while adapting to evolving business and operational needs.

About the Role:

As a Senior Technical Project Manager for Print Operations, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technical initiatives that span teams, products, and platforms. You will combine structured project execution with program-level oversight to ensure complex technical work is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and technology objectives. Partnering closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to manage dependencies and mitigate risk.

You Will:

  • Lead the delivery of large and complex technical projects or multiple related projects by partnering closely with business and product owners to balance scope, schedule, and resources.

  • Drive strategy and execution by analyzing trends and applying critical thinking and past learnings to make well-reasoned decisions and trade-offs.

  • Manage cross-team dependencies and competing priorities, proactively resolving roadblocks to ensure steady progress and impactful on-time delivery.

  • Translate technical requirements into clear, actionable delivery roadmaps and oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and governance through to execution.

  • Oversee operational metrics and data insights, suggesting improvements and justifying operational choices with empirical evidence obtained through research and proofs of concept.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of project or program management experience.

  • Expert project management skills and a proven track record of managing complex technical projects from end-to-end, balancing scope, timeline, and resources effectively.

  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and fostering alignment across Engineering, Product, Design, and Data & AI teams.

  • Proficiency in technical project and program management acumen, including scheduling, resource planning, dependency mapping, risk assessment, and mitigation approaches using Agile methodologies.

  • A strong background in operational excellence, regularly track and interpret metrics to report on project success, identify quality issues, and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity.

  • A solid understanding of data and reporting, including the use of BI tools to build dashboards, conduct trend analysis, and translate data into operational insights.
