Position Specific Description

This position provides operational IT support for NextEra Energy Transmission, serving as the primary IT liaison for the Northeast Region. The role supports critical technology services in a 24/7 operational environment, including network infrastructure, endpoint devices, collaboration tools, voice and data systems, audiovisual technology, and enterprise applications.

The position serves as a key technical resource for business operations, vendors, and external stakeholders, delivering hands-on support, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring reliable technology services. Responsibilities also include project coordination, vendor management, regulatory and cybersecurity compliance, process improvement, and support during storm and emergency response events.

Essential Duties

  • Support and maintain network, endpoint, voice/data, collaboration, audiovisual, and enterprise technology services.
  • Provide advanced technical support for Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and AV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and enterprise networking environments.
  • Support technology requirements associated with NYISO, IESO, PJM, and ISO-NE operations.
  • Coordinate with business partners, vendors, and IT teams to deliver technology solutions and resolve operational issues.
  • Support incident management, service restoration, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with project planning, cost and schedule tracking, risk management, and resource coordination.
  • Maintain IT assets, technical documentation, standards, and technology lifecycle activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NERC, cybersecurity, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
  • Participate in storm duty, emergency response, and extended-hours support as required.

Preferred Qualifications/Experiences

  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments, critical infrastructure, utilities, energy, or transmission operations
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows, macOS, iOS, Webex, Teams, networking, and AV technologies
  • Knowledge of NERC, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity controls, or operational technology environments
  • Experience working with vendors, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technical teams

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Associates or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience:5+ years

The estimated base pay for this position is $92,000.00 to $138,000.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
