Job Description
What you'll do:
• Work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team delivering technical solutions within the highest levels of the federal government • Perform daily operations & maintenance (O&M) and provisioning for mission-critical telecommunications environments • Analyze IT architecture to support long-range planning and modernization efforts • Create engineering roadmaps, technical designs, configurations, rack elevations, and bills of materials (BOMs) • Ensure solutions comply with DoD standards and commercial best practices • Participate in Agile planning, execution, and continuous improvement activities • Support mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance • Communicate technical decisions and designs clearly to stakeholders and customers • Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and delivery excellence • Apply creativity and engineering judgment to design innovative solutions that meet mission and customer needs
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; relevant experience may be substituted for education • Required certifications: BICSI RCDD, BICSI Fiber Optic Installer, and BICSI Copper Installer • Certification meeting DoD 8140 DCWF Role of 441 - Network Operations Specialist (e.g., CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP) • 12+ years designing, analyzing, and maintaining IT, telecom, and data center infrastructure • Experience producing engineering drawings, rack elevations, BOMs, and roadmaps
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
• The candidates professional background and relevant work experience • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
