Sr. Test Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or systems validation
• Deep hands-on experience with complex electro-mechanical systems (electrical, pneumatics, gas systems, cooling, motion, optics, controls)
• Experience with controls and computing (firmware, PLC/controller interfaces, IP/Modbus networking, Linux/Windows, Shell, Python)
• Experience developing and executing test procedures from subsystem through final qualification
• Experience specifying, building, and validating test equipment and fixtures with gage capability and calibration requirements
• Clear communicator who makes decisions from data and maintains rigor under schedule pressure
• Strong troubleshooting skills using structured root cause methods (8D, 5-Why)
• Experience tracking equipment reliability (MTBF, MTTR) and using SPC and MSA
• Additive manufacturing or laser systems experience preferred
• New Product Introduction (NPI) experience preferred
• Aerospace or ISO quality system experience (AS9100, ISO 9001) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Author, revise, and release bring-up (Level 600) and system validation (Level 700) test procedures through engineering change control and set acceptance limits
• Own Level 800 final qualification and release sign-off, direct technician support, and confirm printers complete system validation before delivery
• Specify, build, and validate test stations, fixtures, and instrumentation including firmware, PLC interfaces, and networking systems
• Serve as technical escalation point for Test Technicians executing procedures on electrical, pneumatic, cooling, motion, laser optics, and control systems
• Drive improvements in first-pass yield, bring-up cycle time, and field reliability using data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving methods
