Sr. Test Implementation and Support (TIS) Application Scientist

Essential Duties

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Receive and document incominglaboratoryinvestigation requests.

• Work cooperatively withstakeholdersandinternalfunctional departments to troubleshoot and resolvelaboratoryquestionsandrequests in theareas of reagent, consumables, and assay related issues.

• Lead troubleshooting oflaboratoryissues through rootcause analysis, experiment design, study execution, data analysis, andtechnical summary.Providetechnical advice on preventative action.

• Conduct bench level experiments within several product areas.

• Prepare technical experiment reportswith all technical specification,information, and acceptance criteriaandpresentto supervisor or project team.

• Providetechnicaland scientificinputfordecisions affecting projectplanning,experimental design, and workflow.

• Clearly and accurately summarize and document troubleshooting activitiesandexperiments.

• Prepare detailed technicalvalidation/verificationplans, protocols, experimental design, data analysis,SOPs,and summaries topresent tolaboratory leadership.

• Communicatelaboratoryfeedbackregardingproduct requirements to thedevelopmentalteam fordesigning andimplementingnew and existing products.Act asthe voiceof the laboratorywhenworkingonprocess improvementsand validations.

• Draft and distribute content ofenterprise-widecommunicationsregardingincoming and outbound supplier communications.

• Contribute ideas to improveroot causeinvestigations,laboratory practices,validations,metrics,andteamprocesses.

• Communicatesclearlywithsupervisor, team members,andproject stakeholders.

• Ability to provide technical and hands-on support toclinicallaboratoryby phone, email,andonsite.

• Ability toidentify, implement, andreport onprocessimprovements inthe laboratory.

• Detail oriented withvery strongorganizational skills.

• Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.

• Ability to use a telephone through a headset.

• Ability tocomply withany applicable personal protective equipment requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a life sciences field;Master’sdegree in a life sciences field and 2 years of lifesciences industry experience in lieu of Ph.D.; orBachelor’s Degreein life sciences or relatedfield and 4 years of life sciences industry experience in lieu of Ph.D.

• 3+ years of experience in the life sciences industry or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience analyzing data with tools such as Microsoft Office Excel or JMP.

• 2+ years of experience working in a molecular diagnostics/clinical laboratory.

• Professional working knowledge or coursework with molecular biology techniques andReal-Time-PCR Assays.

• Strong understanding of statistical and mathematical methods in biology/genetics.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
