Job Summary
The Senior Tools & Implementation Specialist provides advanced expertise in the development, deployment, and optimization of craft and staff training programs for Black & Veatch construction professionals. This position plays a critical leadership role in improving workforce competency, ensuring tool and process adoption, and driving consistent implementation of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), WorkFace Planning (WFP), and digital construction technologies across all projects. This senior role is also responsible for overseeing, guiding, and coordinating the work of other training specialists and providing mentorship. The Senior Specialist acts as a subject matter expert, strategic advisor, and key influencer in shaping training approaches, curriculum quality, technology integration, and field readiness. Responsible for continuous improvement feedback for Construction Management Technologies systems and procedures and requires significant on-site engagement with project teams. This role ensures consistent training delivery across all projects and oversees training deployment strategies to ensure alignment with business-line goals and project execution needs.

Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Strategic Support
Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of craft and staff training programs that enhance workforce competency and compliance.
Collaborate with internal groups to identify training gaps and design strategic training plans that support a ONE B&V approach.
Align training initiatives with project requirements, business-line objectives, and organizational change efforts.
Support long range planning, budgeting input, and resource forecasting for training programs.
Curriculum Development & Advanced Instruction
Lead the creation and continuous improvement of training materials, manuals, presentations, e learning content, simulations, and job specific work processes.
Develop advanced curricula for Coordinators, Superintendents, and Front Line Supervisors using Work Packaging and Plan & Progress workflows.
Deliver engaging training sessions through classroom, workshop, field mentoring, and virtual environments.
Ensure training content remains current with project processes, software updates, AWP/WFP best practices, and field needs.
AWP/WFP & Work Packaging Expertise
Serve as a subject-matter expert for Advanced Work Packaging, WorkFace Planning, and construction work packaging methodologies.
Coach project teams on the application of AWP and WFP best practices to maximize planning efficiency and improve progress tracking.
Ensure training aligns with the established "Path of Construction" and supports organizational goals for predictability and productivity.
Tracking, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Oversee training scheduling, tracking, and documentation; ensure accurate records of attendance, certifications, and compliance.
Monitor trainee progress and evaluate learning outcomes through assessments, simulations, and practical application.
Gather feedback from project managers, field personnel, and stakeholders to improve training offerings and address emerging challenges.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in training content, delivery models, systems adoption, and field support.
Collaboration & Communications
Partner closely with Safety, HR, Quality, Construction Management, and Field Operations to align training solutions with business needs.
Create high quality communications, presentations, and reports for leadership, meetings, and project briefings.
