Description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Sr. TORQ/SOAR Engineer to join our team remotely. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Sr. TORQ/SOAR Engineer serves as a technical leader and trusted authority for Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) using TORQ. This role drives the design, deployment, and optimization of TORQ workflows in complex enterprise environments, enabling clients to automate security operations, incident response, and threat mitigation across endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, and containerized platforms. The engineer advises clients on automation strategy, operational best practices, and integration with enterprise security tools, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable SOAR implementations.

Join our Managed Security Services (MSSP) team at ECS, a leading provider of cybersecurity, cloud, AI, data, and enterprise transformation solutions. This is a high-impact position where you'll collaborate with experts, work directly with strategic clients-including U.S. Federal agencies-and contribute to strengthening security operations through automation and orchestration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and deployment of TORQ SOAR solutions, including playbooks, automation workflows, and incident response orchestration.
  • Develop and maintain graph-based or agentic automation workflows while optimizing performance through context management and advanced automation logic.
  • Integrate TORQ with enterprise security tools such as Elastic Stack, Splunk, CrowdStrike, cloud workloads, and containerized platforms.
  • Deploy and manage TORQ on platforms including public cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Leverage automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible) to streamline deployment, maintenance, and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure operations.
  • Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of TORQ playbooks and automation workflows.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Produce and maintain documentation reflecting best practices, integrations, and deployment architectures.
  • Stay current on competing SOAR technologies (e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Siemplify, Demisto) and provide guidance on comparative capabilities or migration strategies.
  • Deliver operational updates, status reporting, and technical recommendations to clients and ECS management.

About Company

ECS was founded in 2001 by experienced IT professionals with a commitment to quality processes, people and performance. Led by our Chairman, Roy Kapani, and an experienced executive leadership team, ECS provides our customers with solutions and services that support their critical needs and further mission objectives. This commitment has paved the way for expansive growth, year over year.

ECS gained market share in 2011 in the Department of Defense and Federal spaces through both organic and acquisition growth. In May, ECS completed its first strategic acquisition with the purchase of OAK Management, Inc., a leading provider of marine environmental services, ship systems engineering, maritime consulting and platform acquisition management. The OAK acquisition kicked off ECS’ intention to add tactical acquisitions as a part of its long term strategy to supplement and expand upon organic growth and to build enterprise value. ECS closed out 2011 with the acquisition of Paradigm Technologies, Inc. The Paradigm transaction added approximately 200 employees to ECS’ existing 900+ employees. Paradigm also added new Defense clients for ECS, including the Missile Defense Agency, the Navy’s Program Executive Officer for Integrated Warfare Systems, the United States Marine Corps, and the U.S. Marshals Service.

In 2012, ECS completed the acquisition of iLuMinA Solutions, Inc. iLuMinA brings large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation and infrastructure design and development to ECS’ expanding capabilities.

ECS will continue to invest in corporate infrastructure and quality processes as we grow and enhance our ability to offer professional excellence to both our customers and our employees.
