    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Receive and process sales orders from registered representatives of the broker/dealer, clients, and/or their third party managers, and inspects orders to ensure accuracy of information.
    • Review trade execution reports on a daily basis.
    • Ensure trading procedures are properly executed and that compliance policies are followed.
    • Process a high volume of complex trades, while minimizing the company’s financial exposure. 
    • Monitor the relationship between the trading desk and our clearing broker, making sure we receive “Best Execution” on all trades
    • Book all transactions through our clearing broker’s system.
    • Provide market color to our internal and external clients customized according to their needs.
    • Responsible for the post-trading routines of booking the transaction in the system and assisting the securities processing unit, whenever needed, in order to ensure maximum efficiency regarding settlement of the trades
    • May provide clients with information on investments, securities and other financial services
    • Responds to complex question from management, clients, sales representatives and firm personnel regarding trades.
    • Stay abreast of changes in the industry and share knowledge with the field and the department.
    • Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act related principles, laws, rules and regulations, as well as Itau’s related policies and procedures.
    • Perform in a pro-active business development fashion during all client conversations, striving to provide an overall outstanding client experience.
    • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

      Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree, economics or related field (MBA preferred)
    • Licenses: 
    • Series 7 is required, and Series 57 is desirable

      • Minimum 5 years of experience in securities industry

      • Systems/Applications: MS Office, Bloomberg, Olympic, NETX360,

      • Competencies: Communicates effectively, focuses on the customer, organizational skills, demonstrates technical and functional expertise, make sound business decisions, keyboard and data entry skills, detail oriented, multi-task oriented and team player.

      • Senior Experience: brokerage and bank products (Fixed Income, Equities, Options, Mutual Funds, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Futures, and Structure Products)

      • Strong understanding of current regulatory requirements to broker dealer and bank rules.

      • Self Motivated team player with solid communication skills.

      • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

      • Fluency in Portuguese considered a plus.
