Overview
The Senior Travel Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing corporate travel arrangements. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex travel logistics for senior executives and other employees. The Senior Travel Coordinator will ensure that travel needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining a high standard of service.
Responsibilities
Travel Management:
Plan, book, and manage domestic and international travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services for executives and employees.
Coordinate with travel agencies and vendors to secure the best rates and services.
Ensure compliance with the company's travel policies and procedures.
Cost Control:
Monitor travel expenses and budgets.
Provide cost-saving recommendations and solutions.
Travel Support:
Provide support for travelers to resolve issues and emergencies (sometimes after-hours).
Develop and maintain travel itineraries and documentation for travelers.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze travel expense reports and provide insights to management.
Maintain accurate records of travel bookings and expenses.
Policy Development:
Assists in the development and updating of corporate travel policies.
Vendor Management:
Build and maintain relationships with travel vendors and service providers.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to understand travel needs and provide solutions.
Train and mentor junior travel coordinators and administrative staff.
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field preferred
Experience:Experience working with travel management software and online booking tools preferred
